Basic setup for using sm.
To use sm, you just need to have a .sm file in your home
directory. A basic .sm file looks something like this:

+20+178 -background white -foreground black
history

history_file
/home/yourname/.smhist
temp_dir
/tmp/
TeX_strings
1
(of course, change "yourname" to your actual username)
Once you've saved this file as .sm, just type sm at a
terminal prompt to start the program running.
