DIRECTIONS FOR
THE UCI
OBSERVATORY
Note that the following directions should only be used for people attending small-sized events at the UCI Observatory and for people transporting handicapped people or telescope equiptment to Visitor Nights at the Observatory. These directions should NOT be used by the general public attending Visitor Nights. For the later, please use the driving directions listed at http://www.physics.uci.edu/~observat/visnite_driving_directions.html. Please note that you can find a UCI campus map online at http://www.uci.edu/campusmap.
Driving South on 73:
Take the BISON Exit
Turn LEFT on BISON Ave.
Turn RIGHT on W. PELTASON Dr.
Turn RIGHT on ANTEATER Dr.
Turn RIGHT on CALIFORNIA Ave.
Just past the corner of CALIFORNIA Ave. and GABRIELINO Dr., turn LEFT onto the gravel road leading to the UCI Observatory. You'll see the blue and white Observatory sign on the fence. Drive down the road and park at the Observatory dome. Please park in the dirt along side of the side of the road, well off the gravel road itself, in order to ensure that cars can pass to/from the Observatory.
Driving North on 73:
Take the BISON Exit
Turn RIGHT on BISON Ave.
Turn RIGHT on W. PELTASON Dr.
Turn RIGHT on ANTEATER Dr.
Turn RIGHT on CALIFORNIA Ave.
Just past the corner of CALIFORNIA Ave. and GABRIELINO Dr., turn LEFT onto the gravel road leading to the UCI Observatory. You'll see the blue and white Observatory sign on the fence. Drive down the road and park at the Observatory dome. Driving South on the 405:
Take the JAMBOREE Exit
Turn RIGHT on JAMBOREE Rd.
Turn LEFT on CAMPUS Dr.
Turn RIGHT on E. PELTASON Dr. (after passing W. Peltason Dr.)
LEFT on ANTEATER Dr.
Turn RIGHT on CALIFORNIA Ave.
