Personal Car Mileage Reimbursement Travelers should check their odomoter before they leave and as soon as they return, to report the exact miles driven. However, if this does not happen, use the website below to calculate the mileage: Mileage reimburrsement rates can be found at: http://snap.uci.edu/viewXmlFile.jsp?resourceID=262 It is also very important to PRINT an online quote from an airline for the travel dates. This information is used as a comparison when processing the mileage reimbursement amount (the amount of the mileage reimbursed cannot exceed the estimated airfare cost). UCI Rental Car / Hotel Discounts UCOP has negotiated new rental car and hotel agreements. In order to ensure the best possible rates the only agencies we will now be using are Hertz, National, and Enterprise. Travelers should all be notified that they must use one of these vendors and give them our agreement # if they will be seeking reimbursement for their rental car. Rates include insurance for rentals in the US, additional insurance purchased will not be reimbursed. back to top University's Business Travel Accident Insurance Plan This plan covers all employees (faculty, researchers, staff, students) when travelling on University business. This new coverage is broader and is provided at no cost, but employees must register to ensure coverage for each business trip outside of California. Please visit the website for more details: Prior to each out-of-state trip, you must complete the Travelers Insurance Form and print out an ID card. We are located approximately 50 minutes from Los Angeles and 90 minutes from San Diego. There is much to do in Orange County! When making flight reservations, you will find it much more convenient to arrive at John Wayne/Orange County Airport [SNA] which is located approximately 3 miles from the UCI Campus, whereas Los Angeles International Airport [LAX] which is approximately 45 miles away.
