 physics 7e suggested syllabus
The main goal of this course is to introduce students to oscillations and wave behavior. The course also introduces students to some basic ideas in fluid mechanics.

The course is not linked with tutorials, so there is significantly more flexibility in the ordering of the material.

The topics that need to be covered are (approximate time needed in paranthesis):
Fluids:  Chapter 14  (one week)

Oscillations: Chapter 15, 32.5, 32.6  (up to two weeks)

Mechanical Waves: Chapters 16 - 18  (three weeks)
Light as a Wave: Chapters 34, 35, 37, and 38 (parts of 36 if  time permits, but this material is covered in 52A)  (three weeks +)
The course generally ends with a lecture on Integrating Wave Phenomena: sound/light/particle-wave duality

NOTE:  It is good to add the example of circuits in the section on oscillations. This is the material in 32.5 and 32.6. Material from Chapter 33 can also be included.

Also, some of Chapter 34 may be covered at the very end of 7D, but it is best to assume that it has not been covered in detail.
