I am a postdoctoral fellow at UC Irvine working with Professor Betsy Barton on science cases and development of the data simulator for the first light instrument IRIS (Infrared Imaging Spectrograph) for the future Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT). I was a graduate student at UC Los Angeles, and was involved with development and use of infrared instrumentation with Keck Observatory's adaptive optics (AO) systems, such as OSIRIS and SHARC. My research focuses on studying the dynamics of star forming galaxies in the early universe (z > 1) using the integral field spectrograph OSIRIS with Keck Observatory's Laser Guide Star AO system. I am also involved with the Center for Adaptive Optics Treasury Survey (CATS) that targets hundreds of galaxies at infrared wavelengths using Keck's AO system.
