Simona Murgia

Associate Professor of Physics & Astronomy
(949) 824-9401
3156 Frederick Reines Hall

Ph.D. Physics, 2002, Michigan State University

Professor Murgia's main interest is understanding the nature of dark matter. She searches for debris produced by dark matter particles annihilating in space. Some of that debris might include gamma rays and she uses the data collected by Fermi LAT, a space based experiment that is sensitive to gamma rays, to search for a signal.
