Join us on Jan 18 to explore the night sky from the UCI Observatory and bid good bye to Comet ISON. Listen to a lecture by Professor Virgina Trimble entiled "Comets for Fun and Profit". Learn about other comets that have come into the inner solar system and given humans a spectacular show. Also find out what comets can tell us about the formation of our Solar System, and why comets made our Earth inhabitable.

Come and catch sight of Comet ISON as it winds its way out of to the far reaches of our Solar System. Also, catch a glimpse of the Moon, Jupiter, and star clusters with our suite of telescopes. Also, learn to use a night sky map to locate your favorite stars and constellations in the winter sky.

Visitor Nights are open to the Friends of the UCI Observatory and to the public. We thank the Friends of the UCI Observatory for the financial support which enables the UCI Observatory to provide Visitor Nights and activities to the community.
