Assemblies
UCI Physics Outreach:  John Rosendahl's Adventures in Physics

Each show uses exciting demonstrations, simple math problems, hypotheses, and hands-on activities to teach a few fundamental physics concepts. The shows were developed by UC Irvine Physics faculty and are presented by UCI Cal Teach undergraduates.  (click here for a .pdf version of this page).
Winter 2017 show:  Momentum
Audience size:  75-150
Grades:  3rd-6th
Venue:  Multipurpose rooms
Duration:  Each show lasts approximately 50 minutes. Schedule two back-to-back assemblies in a two-hour time block. The multipurpose room must be available 30 minutes prior to the first assembly for setup.
Room arrangement:  Two tables and a screen on the stage. Five tables (or 10 desks) along the perimeter of the room for hands-on activities.
Dates:
Thursdays [February - March]
Cost: Free (1st come, 1st served)
