Simona Murgia, Physics and Astronomy Assistant Professor, has been awarded the 2014-15 Hellman Fellowship.
Awarded by UCI’s Office of the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor, the honor recognizes outstanding assistant professors for research excellence.
The award will support Professor Murgia's research in the area of Particle Physics.
Professor Murgia joined the UCI faculty in 2012. She received her BSc in Physics from the Universit`a degli Studi di Cagliari, Italy, and her h.D. in Physics at Michigan State University.
