Professor Huolin Xin received the 2021 Outstanding Early-Career Investigator Award from the Materials Research Society for his work in developing innovative transmission electron microscopy imaging methodologies for advancing energy storage and conversion materials. He also has just received the 2021 Burton Medal - Physical Sciences from the Microscopy Society of America for his distinguished contributions to the field of microscopy and microanalysis.
Both awards are awarded annually to a single individual under the age of forty who has made outstanding/distinguished contributions to the Materials/EM field.
