Opposition to nuclear power was once a core tenet of environmentalism. But in recent years, a growing number of scientists, activists, and political leaders have begun to see nuclear power as a solution to climate change. Rebecca Tuhus-Dubrow's recent book, Atomic Dreams: The New Nuclear Evangelists and the Fight for the Future of Energy, traces the emergence of the pro-nuclear movement and analyzes the ongoing debate over this controversial energy source. At this event, she will be in conversation with UCI physics professor Daniel Whiteson.
