Purpose / Details:

The 2019 Daya Bay analysis workshop will be held at the campus of the University of California, Irvine on May 9-11, 2019. The goal of this workshop is to finalize the results to be released in the summer and to review the progress on all analysis fronts.

Transportation LAX - UCI:

If your flight arrives at LAX we recommend you use one of the shared ride van services, such as Super Shuttle. To use these services, exit the airport through the baggage claim area on the ground floor and follow the signs for “Shared Ride Vans.”

The Super Shuttle is much more affordable than a taxi or UBER / LYFT - the average cost for a taxi from LAX to UC Irvine is approximately $75.

Local Lodging: Please do not contact the hotels directly

Blocks of rooms at the Ayres Suites and Travelodge have been reserved [single or double occupancy] at special UCI negotiated rates. Both hotels have free internet access, free shuttle service to/from UCI, and free shuttle service to/from the John Wayne (SNA) airport. If you come to LAX we recommend you use one of the shared ride van services, such as Super Shuttle.

You will have the opportunity to indicate your preferred hotel and occupancy (single or double) when you register online, and then you can pay the hotel upon arrival.

We will try our best to accommodate you in your first choice but we cannot guarantee that there will be availability - priority will be given according to registration order.
