ABSTRACT:
I will discuss how to implement DM stability or longevity properly in DM model Lagrangians. First I will discuss the global vs. local dark symmetries as examples, and illustrate that DM phenomenology can change significantly due to the existence of dark gauge bosons and dark Higgs boson when dark gauge symmetry is local. Then I will dicsuss the case DM becomes long lived due to accidental global symmetry of the underlying dark gauge symmetry.
