UCI Assistant Professor Jason Alicea is a recipient of the 2012 Sloan Research Fellowship. He is one of 23 young faculty nationally to be recognized in physics.

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation makes grants on six broad subject matters, known within the Foundation as major program areas.
