ABSTRACT:

The scattering of two massive vector bosons (VBS), V V → V V with V = W or Z, is a key process to probe the nature of electroweak symmetry breaking. Many physics scenarios predict enhancements in VBS either from additional resonances or if the observed SM-like Higgs boson only partially unitarizes this amplitude. This seminar will present the first study sensitive to this process.  Same-electric-charge WWjj  diboson production using 20.3~fb^-1 of proton-proton collision data at sqrt(s)=8 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider.
