ABSTRACT:

Northrop Grumman is very proud of our contributions to space-based astrophysics
observations. In this talk, I will introduce our work on past observatories, give the latest
status on the construction of JWST, and describe our technology and mission development
efforts to enable the next generation of space telescopes. This work on future missions
is the responsibility of our Science and Weather Systems team, a department of PhD
scientists and engineers that collaborates closely with the research community. I will present
our view of the NASA astrophysics landscape for the coming decade, with a focus on Explorer
missions opportunities and industry-academia collaborations.
