Special Seminar: Geometry of scattering amplitudes

Abstract:  

I will review recent progress on the connection between scattering amplitudes and the new mathematical structures such as Grassmannian and Amplituhedron. In this geometric picture the standard physics properties of S-matrix such as locality or unitarity is derived from the underlying geometry. I will mostly focus on the case of the planar N=4 SYM theory but I will show first steps how to generalize this picture to other theories.
