Abstract:

I will consider phenomenological aspects of models where dark matter has a nontrivial connection to the SM flavor groups. This setup allows for many possibilities where the dark matter particle is a flavor partner of quarks, leptons or neutrinos. In each case, standard features of dark matter physics are affected in novel ways, such as the origin of the dark matter abundance, signatures in collider searches for dark matter, in direct and indirect detection experiments and even astrophysical observables, which I will review in turn.
