Guide for the Perplexed: A compassionate primer for LGBTQ+ allies

This training provides information about LGBTQ+ identities and politics and an array of ready-to-use tools in an accessible format and safe space for discussion. The first half of the training contextualizes the socio-legal importance of best practices and attempts to demystify the range of terms used in gender politics discourse. Willingness to make mistakes, accepting correction graciously, and minimizing the everyday work required by queer folks are emphasized. The second half of the training arms participants with an arsenal of best practices and action items they can use to create more inclusive and equitable professional and social environments.
