UCI Professor Aomawa Shields and her PostDoc Ana Lobo who are part of the SCECIE team have recently published their paper in The Astrophysical Journal, "Terminator Habitability: The Case for Limited Water Availability on M-dwarf Planets" which details how extraterrestrial life may exist on far away exoplanets within an area defined as a “terminator zone."
Their paper was also featured in UCI News' article “ ‘Terminator zones’ on distant planets could harbor life, UC Irvine astronomers say”, by Lucas Van Wyk Joel of UCI Physical Sciences Communications.
