Renormalization, Decoupling and the Hierarchy Problem

Abstract: We present a detailed renormalization of scalar mass loop corrections, faithfully taking into account the counterterms. Our work shows that top quark contributions exhibit power-law running. Furthermore, we demonstrate that heavy fields in loops naturally give suppressed contributions to renormalized masses, consistent with the decoupling theorem.
