Abstract: Over the past few years, the culmination of new in situ holder technologies, TEM detector technologies and software innovation have led to unparalleled capabilities in creating and correlating multimodal sample data. In this presentation, Protochips will present scientific data based on two new in situ platforms: Triton™, which allows the electrochemical study of materials in cooled, liquid environments, and Sol for Atmosphere™, which allows the optical illumination of samples in a gaseous environment. Of course, these new in situ capabilities bring additional data to analyze alongside multimodal TEM data. Methods for utilizing machine vision to correlate multimodal in situ data with both structural and compositional information will be presented for a variety of samples and applications. Finally, this presentation will explore both the challenges in data analysis and opportunities to utilize new AI technologies to develop TEM specific workflows.
