ABSTRACT:

Sub-GeV dark matter is a theoretically motivated but largely unexplored paradigm of dark matter. In this talk, I will describe how one can use the scattering of dark matter off of electrons to search for sub-GeV dark matter. I will present projections for current and near-term semiconductor experiments as well as introduce new techniques that may allow us to reach unprecedented sensitivity for sub-GeV dark matter.
