ABSTRACT:
After the discovery of the Higgs boson during the LHC Run1 and a two-year shutdown, LHC operations are about to restart at unprecedented energy and intensity. The LHC Run2 represents both a unique opportunity to explore new energy frontiers and an exciting experimental challenge. At the same time, experiments are defining upgrade strategies for the High Luminosity LHC program. I will present a perspective of activities, ideas and results from the CMS experiment.
