ABSTRACT:
Short pulse lasers enable coherent x-ray generation with attosecond durations via high order harmonic generation (HOHG), which in turn are capable of studying the fastest dynamics. Currently, most research is performed with laser light produced from Ti:Sapphire, which lases in the near infrared at ~800 nm. In this talk, I will show some of the exciting developments that can take place when other wavelengths and waveforms are utilized properly in the HOHG mechanism.
