ABSTRACT:
New dark gauge forces can mediate long-distance forces between standard model fermions, and fixed-target  experiments, notably with displaced production and detection vertices, can be
exquisitely sensitive to their presence. I will survey both the theoretical and experimental possibilities, highlighting the discovery prospects made possible through an extension of the SeaQuest
experiment at Fermilab.
