ABSTRACT:
 
After the discovery of the Standard Model (SM)-like Higgs boson in July 2012, a solution to the hierarchy problem (HP) - the question about the ultra-violet (UV) sensitivity of the scalar sector and the stability of the Higgs potential under quantum fluctuations - is more required than ever. A promising possibility to solve the HP is given by models with warped extra dimensions (WEDs), in which the SM is embedded in a slice of anti-de Sitter space, while the Higgs sector is localized on one of two branes bounding the extra dimension. A clear indication for models with WEDs would be the direct detection of Kaluza-Klein (KK) modes, massive copies of the SM particles, whose mass differences are roughly the same. Unfortunately, none of these predicted particles have been observed yet and electroweak precision measurements indicate that their masses could be too large for direct detection at the LHC. Thus, indirect searches like the precision measurements of the (loop-induced) Higgs-boson couplings to SM particles become more and more attractive. In my talk, I want to give an idea of how possible deviations in the Higgs couplings could be a sign for models with WEDs and what the current measurements can tell us about the parameter space of these models.
