ABSTRACT:
 
In the past decade neutrino physics has made tremendous progress by measuring neutrino oscillations in various channels. Recent measurements have revealed the value of the mixing angle theta13 and provided a first glimpse of the CP phase in the neutrino sector. The T2K (Tokai to Kamioka) project was the first off-axis long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment to measure theta13 by looking for the appearance of electron type neutrinos in a beam of muon neutrinos.
Measurements of the T2K experiment include dedicated anti-neutrino runs. In this presentation I will describe the setup and performance of the T2K experiment and present recent oscillation analysis results. New Neutrino Experiments will search for CP violation in the neutrino sector, measure the neutrino mass hierarchy, perform precision measurements of neutrino oscillation parameters and search for nucleon decay and neutrinos from core collapse supernovae. I will present the scientific prospects and the experimental approach.
