UCI Graduate Students Christopher Gonzalez and Stuart Love Awarded Fellowships

Two graduate students, Christopher Gonzalez and Stuart Love who work under Professor Howard Lee, in UCI Physics and Astronomy Department have recently received fellowships.

Christopher Gonzalez has been awarded the UC-National Lab In-Residence Graduate Fellowship  (2 years) where he will be investigating 2D optical materials for tunable devices and high-power laser applications through the collaboration with the Lawerence Livermore National Laboratory.  Stuart Love has been awarded the  Department of Defense National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship (DoD NDSEG) (3 years), focusing on tunable nanophotonic/metasurface research. Stuart also received summer fellowship at the Nokia Bell Labs as an Integrated Photonics Intern this summer.
